Tangled Threads
Tangled threads is a collection of monochromatic plates that explores the layered systems of biodiverse ecosystems of connectivity that sustain the natural world existing in the subterranean, the horizon of human perception and the celestial. The work traces the invisible architecture of hidden webs, fibrous, delicate, and vast that holds living worlds together.
Through the layered composition, the work visualises the complex networks and systems yet invisible to the human eye and invites the viewer to pause where certainty gives way to curiosity.
This handcrafted body of work embraces analogue processes with the collection of found and upcycled materials such as a unique selection of vintage environmental magazine cuttings, tree bark, paper and Letraset type transfers. Together, these elements form intricate visual narratives that reflect the interconnected nature of life and the unseen threads that bind ecosystems across scales.
